I care deeply about the people in my life--which includes those who I might only know for an hour at a shoot! I show up to every session with the intention to connect and truly understand who you are so that the photos can then just speak for themselves!
To be remembered in a way you recognize
I love the way my youngest's eyelashes create the sweetest shadows when I nurse him, the way my oldest always seems to have dirt under his nails from being outside all day. These are the details I want to remember and these are the details I look for in your story. You want to look back at these photos not just because they were aesthetic for the time, but because they feel familiar.
Photography was my first love before I dived into birth work as a doula, it's a coming-home type of feeling to dedicate myself back to a craft that my soul finds so familiar.
Born in Mississippi, raised in Wyoming, with my family's homeland being New Zealand (of which I am a dual citizen), and now finding my chosen home in Colorado, it's been an honor to witness people, culture, and the human experience from all different points of view.
I value the knowledge that we're all so vastly different with unique stories and lived experiences--that our legacy is one of the single greatest bestowals we'll leave on this earth--so let's tell it well.
